I really can't tell if this is the right category. I think so, but if someone can find a better one, please tell me.

Anyways, wrote this for my creative writing class. I just finished it, now, so I don't know if it will go through any more changes before its final product, but I'm really happy with it now, so I'm putting it up as it is.

The prompt for this one was to write a poem about something we crave or miss. This one is...both?

Basically, the idea I had was I wanted to write about a moment in which I was completely content and wanted nothing but to just be in the moment. Then I thought of three times when this happened in the past couple years, borrowed imagery from them, and then tried to abstract them out into a universal moment that wasn't necessarily any moment at all, but was still referencing those past three moments.

There are also loose references to a couple other things in here: my family's study, the film Kairo (Pulse), and the Eddie Izzard rendition of "For the Benefit of Mr. Kite." Those are all in the same stanza, if you can find them.

I may throw in another reference if I can find the right place for it, but for right now, it's not there, so don't worry about it.
